About the destination: Mecca or Makkah located in western Saudi Arabia, is the holiest city in Islam. Every year millions of pilgrims flock to Mecca. As a result there has been a lot of construction to cater for the accommodation of the pilgrims, and extensions to the mosque itself. Non-Muslims are not allowed to enter the holy city. Mecca also has a very rich history as it is a very old city which has been considered sacred since the early Middle Ages. In Mecca’s city center there is the Sacred Mosque, considered the holiest site in Islam. The Kaaba is located at the center of the Sacred Mosque, all Muslims pray in the direction of Kaaba, believed to have been originally built by Adam and rebuilt by Abraham and his son Ishmael. About the destination: Amman, regarded by some as the cultural hub of the Middle East, is the capital city of Jordan. Located on a hilly region between the desert and the fertile Jordan Valley, Amman is now a modern and cosmopolitan city filled with state-of-the-art buildings, hotels, upscale restaurants, art galleries, and boutiques. However, traces of the city's rich history can be seen everywhere. The city's core is the Citadel, home to Roman and Ammonite ruins. From the Citadel's peak, you can enjoy a stunning view of the city's hills. While the city we see today may not be very old, the Citadel's hill holds evidence of the city's ancient past as Greek Philadelphia. An intriguing Archaeological museum worth a visit is also located here. Nearby, you'll find the Roman theatre and several museums showcasing fascinating collections of mosaics, jewelry, and costumes. A stroll around the city will lead you to mosques, a surprising array of churches, markets, and shops. Amman is a bustling city where modernity and tradition exist harmoniously. Furthermore, Amman serves as an excellent base for exploring the surrounding region. From Amman, it's easy to reach destinations like Jerash, Ajlun, Pella, the Dead Sea, and the Desert Castles.

4. Jerusalem
Stay
About the destination: Jerusalem is the capital city of Israel and it's a sacred city to the three major monotheistic religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Jerusalem is situated in the Judean Mountains between the Mediterranean Sea and the Dead Sea. Despite the conflicts that surround the city, it exudes a harmonious atmosphere that you can feel the moment you step into the city, as if the weight of its spiritual surroundings descends upon your shoulders. The Old City and its Walls are recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ancient city houses holy sites for Jews, Christians, and Muslims, and is brimming with locations of immense religious importance and a vibrant approach to life. The three main attractions within the Old City are the Western Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and the Temple Mount area which includes the Dome of the Rock and Al Aqsa mosque. Via Dolorosa is the most frequented street within the Old City, particularly among Christian pilgrims as it is believed to be the path that Jesus Christ took on his way to his crucifixion. There are 14 Stations of the Cross along this route. The 14th Station of the Cross, which is the final and most significant location in Christianity, is located in the center of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Modern Jerusalem, where most of the hotels and restaurants are found, is built around the Old City. Jerusalem is the holiest of Holy Cities and offers a wealth of sights to see and explore. The city is a captivating mix of tradition, religion, and modern life. It manages to feel utterly exotic and mysterious, yet entirely familiar and welcoming.
